The explanation: Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) enhances the degradation of ozone by disturbing the cycle of ozone formation. CFCs upon entering in stratosphere react with UV and release chlorine ions. These ions act as catalysts and degrade ozone releasing molecular oxygen.
