Which organisms do not have any fixed trophic levels?
This question was posed to me during an interview.
My query is from Ecosystem in portion Ecosystem of Biology – Class 12
Right option is (c) Parasites
The best I can explain: Parasites are the organisms that do not have any fixed trophic levels. This is because they feed producers (autotrophs), herbivores as well as carnivores (consumers) of different trophic levels, e.g. Cuscuta, ticks, leeches, mosquitoes, etc.
