From where do autotrophs obtain energy?
 
(a) Ecosystem
 
(b) Sunlight
 
(c) Heterotrophs
 
(d) Zooplankton
 
The question was posed to me in an interview for internship.
 
My question comes from Ecosystem topic in chapter Ecosystem of Biology – Class 12

Right choice is (b) Sunlight
 
To explain I would say: Sunlight is the main source of energy of autotrophs. These are the organisms (producers) that can produce their own food using light, water, carbon dioxide, or other chemicals.
