Correct choice is (a) 32
 
The explanation is: Let I=\int_0^8x \,dx
 
F(x)=\int x \,dx=\frac{x^2}{2}
 
Using the second fundamental theorem of calculus, we get
 
I=F(8)-f(0)
 
∴\int_0^8x \,dx=\frac{8^2}{2}-0=32
